Can I take a walk?
This question is what my students would usually ask me if they’re having a tough time self-regulating within the classroom and they simply just need some time to calm down, gather their thoughts, gather themselves, take some deep breaths, need a change of scenery, to take a brain break, or to simply do whatever they need to do to get themselves back into a mental headspace where they are able to at least continue on with their day in a calm manner. Therefore, if you are here because you need a walk, you can certainly do so. However, if you need additional support, CTVNews.ca Staff have compiled an entire list of resources should you need it. You can click here to go to the page. I also have the resources copied onto this page on The Penny Teacher just in case you cannot reach the CTVNews.ca website or if the page link becomes null.
